What’s the job?

The Engineering Manager is a member of the Plant Management Team with specific responsibility to deliver effective leadership and support plant wide in the areas of Process and Project Engineering, Maintenance, Blow Moulding, Tooling, Automation and Facilities.

More specifically, as Engineering Manager, you will:

  • Provide engineering and technical leadership on product and process issues
  • Directly supervise, lead and develop a cross functional team of engineering resources supporting production
  • Prioritise, plan and schedule all work.
  • Implement robust systems to improve the reliability and repeatability of manufacturing processes
  • Use data to identify gaps and drive continuous improvement in process performance
  • Create and maintain an engineering & maintenance management system using best practice principles to achieve organisational goals
  • Provide strong support for New Production Introduction (NPI) programmes
  • Manage new capital equipment installation projects using latest project management tools.
  • Co-ordinate maintenance of support equipment and facilities.
  • Monitoring of energy consumption, water, site maintenance.
  • Management of contractors onsite including directly managing onsite cleaning contractors.
  • Monitoring and handling of facilities budgets.
  • Oversee and manage building projects where required.


Who we’re looking for?

The successful candidate should possess a degree in a relevant Engineering field (Plastics or Mechanical Engineering) or trades qualification and previous experience in a similar role.

Candidates should be strong people managers with excellent technical problem solving skills, a proven track record of continuous improvement, excellent attention to detail and a disciplined approach. The successful candidate would have experience with the latest project management tools.
